   Here are the schedules for the 2024 season. 
   Games from 9/7 will be played on 10/12.

   AND Area League Playoffs Qualification
   Area League Playoffs (Dec 7 and 8)
   
   Only ONE team from Malibu in each gender/division is invited for Area League Playoffs on December 7th and 8th in Thousand Oaks. All teams must meet the following qualifications to be eligible:
   1. The 10U and 12U team must have at least one trained, certified referee who can do 3 10u games as an assistant referee (on the line with the flag) on December 7th (they will not conflict with your child’s games) Even if you are a 12U team, your referee would not have to do a 12U game at area playoffs. Also the game CAN NOT be your game at Area Playoffs.
   
   2. All coaches on the team must be trained, certified, and exhibited Positive Coaching and Good Sportsmanship throughout the Malibu fall season.
   
   Volunteer Points

Use the Sign Up Genius Volunteer Tent link Volunteer Tent Sign Up Link to sign up for a 2 hour shift. Volunteers will staff the tent and collect game cards. A team can earn up to 3 volunteer points for shifts worked each Saturday.

                                                               Referee Points
Teams need to designate their team referee(s) A referee game cannot count for more than one team on a given day. Referees need to make sure to SIGN IN either before or after their game at the Volunteer tent. This is how we take attendance for volunteer points. 3 Referee points maximum per Saturday per team. If you want to sign up beforehand use Referee Sign Up 

1. 1 point per game for refereeing in center of the field
2. 2 points for each game if you complete online regional referee companion training and register as volunteer

Referee Points + Volunteer Points = 6 maximum total points per team per Saturday

Volunteer points end on 11/2 (for all divisions EXCEPT G12U) and then points are used for seeding 1st through 4th places for games on 11/9 and 11/16.

FINAL GAMES 11/9 and 11/16

1. 10U Boys and Girls- seeding will be based on game points + volunteer points.  On  11/9, playoff games will be  1st seed vs 4th seed and  2nd seed vs 3rd seed.  On 11/16, the winner of 1st vs 4th  plays the winner of 2nd vs 3rd for the championship. The losers of both games play in the consolation game.  

2. 12U Boys- (all games count in game standings including the Agoura teams)  seeding will be based on game points + volunteer points.  This game point total will be adjusted based on the number of games played.  On 11/9, the 1st place team has a bye and the 2nd place team plays the 3rd place team.  On 11/16, the winner of the 2nd/3rd place team game plays 1st place for the championship.  This winner moves on to Area playoffs, if they meet the area requirements above.  

3. 12U girls 

   1. area playoff team will be based on game points + volunteer points through 11/16

   2. Malibu champion (and medal winner) is the winner of the 2 game series played on 11/9 and 11/16.  If the 2 game series on 11/9 and 11/16 is a tie, the Malibu champion will be the one with the most VOLUNTEER points   

If any team places first but does not meet the requirements for Area League playoffs, the invite will be extended to the next team in the playoffs who meet the area requirements as listed above.
