Malibu AYSO

Covid-19 info

Covid-19 information :

As a community we all need to work together in these ever changing and unchartered times.  While we appreciate there are many different opinions this is not an easy task and we ask for your support to make it happen.

AYSO NATIONAL STATEMENT
AYSO guidelines do not supersede any Federal, State or local guidance, therefore, AYSO is not implementing a national policy on either mask or vaccine mandates.  Individual regions should comply with their State and Local guidance.

MALIBU AYSO GUIDELINES :

GENERAL

All participants, volunteers and familes should self-screen for Covid-19 symptoms prior to attending any AYSO activity.
Please do not attend if experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or having tested positive.
Please inform your coach and / or email  [email protected]  immediately after a positive test result with details of the test date and recent AYSO activity.  This will help us identify any potential ‘close contacts’ within our program.
NOTE - Schools, School Districts and other entities may have their own stricter policies to suit their particular environments but these are independent to AYSO's guidelines for outdoor sports.

FIELD SPECIFIC :
After discussions between our Board and the City of Malibu (to use City fields) we have agreed the following in accordance with County guidelines :

Particpants under 12 years
(ie Players in U6, U8 & U10 Divisions)

No screening, testing is required for children under 12 playing outdoor sports.

Particpants 12 years or older
(ie Players in U14+ Divisions and Volunteers)

Canvass players and volunteers 12y+ via Coaches, Divisional Directors and Board Members and to the best of our abilities confirm that all relevant participants fulfill one of the following criteria :
- Fully Vaccinated
- Testing within school system (eg SMMUSD)
- Self tested and negative
- Recovered from Covid in the last 90 days
- Not currently participating
As per County guidelines we do not keep copies of full vaccination records nor copies of test results.

LA County protocols :

- Individuals testing positive for Covid-19 should follow :
LA County Isolation Order

- Individuals exposed to Covid-19 as a ‘close contact’ should follow :
