Congratulations to the GU12 All-Stars who placed 2nd in the Santa Clarita Valley Classic tournament!
Malibu's GU10 soccer all-stars, the Mighty Blues, culminate a big season by winning the Splash Tournament in Santa Barbara. The Blues rolled through pool play with a 8-0 victory over Van Nuys, a 5-0 victory over the Pacific Palisades and a 6-3 win against host Santa Barbara. The championship game was a dramatic and tough played 1-0 victory over Valencia allowing the Blues to walk away heads held high with a hard fought and well earned GU10 Championship. The team has now won 7 games in a row and 10 of it's last 11 to really finish the season as a top soccer team for their age. The Mighty Blues coaching staff deserves a huge shout out for their months of hard work, dedication and patience. Head Coach William Buckley and co-coaches Brian Stack and Paul Crowder use an incredibly positive and focused approach to helping the team play to their potential and finish the season as champions. Keep a close eye on this group as they move up to GU12 next season. Go Mighty Blues!

"Malibu Blue" AYSO U12 girls finished the season with another 1st Place win last weekend at the Patriots Cup Tournament. Winning 5-0,7-0,2-0 in pool play and then scoring two the forth quarter to cinch the championship against North Valley (an AYSO going club team). Malibu 2008/2009 GU12 - Green Machine - 1st Place
Malibu 2008/2009 GU14 All Stars took 2nd place at the Area 10E finals. The team moves on to Bakersfield to play in the Sectional tournament.
The Malibu Mighty Blues Girls Under 10 all-star team celebrates a 3rd place finish at the 2009 California Strawberry Cup soccer tournament in Camarillo. They started the tournament on the short end of a nail-biting squeaker versus a very strong Claremont team 0 to 1. The girls then pulled together for consecutive victories of 3 -0 over Moorpark, 3 - 1 versus Castaic and 3 - 2 versus Thousand Oaks to earn 3rd place.

Malibu's GU12 AYSO Allstar Team won 4 of 4 games, allowing only one goal against the entire tournament, taking first place at this weekend's (May 2-3, 2009) Oxnard Sports Festival. The Championship game vs. North Valley was a shut out victory 3-0.

The Malibu AYSO BU12 League team (Panthers) has had quite a season! First they won our Malibu Championship of 8 teams in BU12 last November. They were the winners out of 80 kids playing soccer in this age group in Malibu. Then they went to area 10E Regional Championship tournament and were 1st place winners of regions which included Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Newbury Park. This last weekend they were in Bakersfield and got to the semi finals in Area 10E Sectional League Championship and came in fourth place with over 100 BU12 teams that fought for this Championship in this area. These 12 soccer players out of thousands of BU12 players in our section is quite an honor. Also being one of the smallest regions in this area is an honor as well. Bottom left to right, Linus Gordon, Jake Nokes, Zachary Dunne, Alec Wilimovsky, George Fauntleroy, Troy Schlobohm and ”little sister.” Coach Jon Nokes will be going back to Bakersfield on March 7th and 8th to hopefully bring back another Championship to Malibu with the BU12 All-Star team! 2008/2009 Malibu Girls All Star Soccer Coyote Classic Champions! The Malibu GU12 All Star team traveled to Apple Valley, CA and participated in the Coyote Classic. The GU12 division included teams from Long Beach to Las Vegas, all whom fought hard and determined. In the end, they were no match for the Malibu All Stars who drove home with them 1st place trophies.
Congratulations to our Malibu AYSO GU12 Allstars. They battled the winter wind & cold this weekend at The Simi Valley New Year's Tournament. They played 5 games total, 4 ending in shut out victories. This earned them 3rd place overall out of 16 teams.

Congrats to Malibu's GU12 Allstar team! They took home 2nd Place trophies at the Pot O' Gold Tournament in Moorpark on March 15, 2008.
Malibu's own "Cool Blue Jelly Beans" battled hard at the Apricot Jam regional soccer tournament held April 12 & 13th 2008 in Moorpark. The team beat Santa Barbara 4 to 1, Castaic 6 to 1 and Van Nuys 4 to 0 to make the championship game. The final game was a very physical nail-biter played in 95 degree heat against Thousand Oaks. The game was not decided until the final 30 seconds of play when Thousand Oaks scored a goal and Malibu followed 15 seconds later with the last shot. Final was 0 to 1 in favor of the T.O. Thunder. Everyone left exhausted, including the fans.
